With the campaign over, the work has begun to bring available, accountable and affordable insurance to every Mississippian.  Mike Chaney is ready to fight for the interests of Mississippians as the state’s next Commissioner of Insurance. He’s an accomplished legislator and chairman of one of the Senate’s most important committees. He’s a small businessman who understands how to bring business practices to government to make government work better. The results of the General election are in with Republican Mike Chaney receiving 57 % of the votes for insurance commissioner November 6th.

Mike Chaney will become the new Commissioner January 10th, 2008.  Plans are underway to open an office in the Gulf Coast area of Mississippi. The present insurance commissioner is working to help in the effort.
